It all started when Italian artist Dito Von Teese (not to be confused with burlesque queen Dita) couldn't find the right photo for his social media profile. Then he decided to place the image of a finger - it turned out to be original and conspiratorial. The success of the photo among the friends of the creative author and his extraordinary artistic talent led to the creation of a whole series of photographs of fingers, "made up and dressed up" in order to achieve the maximum resemblance to portraits of famous people - both real and fictional.
By the way, "dito" in Italian means "finger", which is why the whole project is called "Ditology".
See how ironically and identically they convey the main features of their prototypes.
