The Englishwoman Kirsty Mitchell (Kirsty Mitchell) back in 2009 began work on a large-scale photo project "Wonderland", which was dedicated to her late mother. Next, you will see two photo series that have become part of the project and are called "Moth" and "Journey Home".

These are two new scenes from the fascinating world of the photographer. Mitchell always works hard on each shot, step by step, acting not only as a photographer, but also as a costume designer and seamstress, as well as finding places to shoot herself.

In The Moth, Mitchell imagines a pale girl wrapped in a magical shroud of butterflies and pages torn from books. The shots are shot in muted tones, with several sudden flashes of color – from the model's scarlet lips and red-and-white manicure, to the blue, red and orange spots on the butterfly wings framing her face.

In "Journey Home," we see the main model of the entire series – Katie Hardwick – wandering along a winding forest path.

The composition is based on the contrast of a woman covered with a cloak of yellow leaves, leaving a golden trail behind her, and red fallen leaves in the forest.
