“My name is Roger Kisby. I am a photographer from New York. In March, I quit my job in advertising to devote myself entirely to photography. Without any income and with ever-rising gas prices, I went on a road trip across the country. I didn't have any plans for where to go or what to shoot, I just wanted to travel and photograph for a while before returning to New York. It was an amazing experiment and I am happy to share the results of my trip.
I tried to take at least one portrait every day, and in total I came up with about 70 photographs of people I met along the way. These are people I happened to meet - a biker in a California parking lot, a priest from New Mexico, community service prisoners in Texas, squatters from Slab City, a stripper from Portland, a fisherman from Montana, and many, many others ... "
