London underground is a place where you can meet anyone. Tourists from different parts of the world, hurrying to work, local residents, students, vagrants, nonconformists — all of these passengers create non-uniform flow, which the untrained eye may seem boring and impersonal. But not London photographer Baldasare the Floor (Paul Baldesare), which is in the mass finds its inspiration.

First photos of passengers of the London underground Floors began to do in 1987. Of the many types photographer chose the most vivid and unconventional. If you have a trained eye, the work in the subway will be more than enough, so Baldasare for many years became a regular at underground stations and noisy cars.

London underground began operation in 1863 and became the world's first transport of a new type. The townspeople call simply "The Tube" or "pipe". That is why the result of three years of work Gender Baldasare called "Down the pipe 1987-1990" (Down the Tube) since 1990.

To work in the subway was so pleased with the photographer, he soon began a new series of images that were done from 1993 to 1996. Gender Baldasare — a native of London, born in this city and lived in it all his life. By profession he is a teacher, but all know him primarily as an interesting photographer. Paul's work prized by connoisseurs very highly — many of them are sent directly from personal exhibitions in public and private collections.

All the pictures are "Down the pipe 1987-1990" made in the style of hidden cameras the passengers didn't know their photos taken. The work was lively, sincere and spontaneous photography does not interfere in life and all went on as usual.
