Andre de Freitas (aka Megatherium) is a photographer and Illustrator from Lima, Peru. Here is what he says about himself:

"I studied at the University of Full Sail and received a bachelor's degree in computer animation. Strange, but on the contrary, I was interested in the concept of statics, and I became an Illustrator. Drawing anything, I tried to imagine it. Therefore, the picture was more static, like a photograph, and stiffness of the frame was more explicit. Then, moving from painting to photography, I did almost all instinctively like doing it for a very long time".

In a recent interview Andre said that the main influence on him Ryan Pfluger, Damon Lobel and Ryan shud. Most of the time Andre pays for portrait and model photography, film and comics.

Presented below is a small selection of a series of Double Exposures — one of the works of Andre, which can be seen on his website. In addition, there can be found his famous series portraits Zombie Portraits, where the famous heroes of comics and cartoons are depicted as zombies.

Double exposure – used in film photography technique, which is to overlay two images while shooting or during printing. To achieve a double exposure just – double-click the camera without scrolling the film after the first image. When properly used make for very interesting shots.
