Donald Duck never dreamed: an alien duck saved a yearning dog on the anniversary of his girlfriend's death

Sometimes all that is needed to disperse the clouds of sadness and bad mood is to allow a new friend to appear in our life. And in this case — to waddle into it.

Almost two years ago, a dog named George lost his close friend, a Labrador named Blackie. Since then, George, as told by his hostess Jackie Lytton, was infinitely saddened and his longing was so strong that sometimes there were doubts whether his heart was still beating.

But then suddenly everything changed.

A few weeks ago, a duck appeared on the doorstep of Miss Lytton's house in Tennessee without any warning, which immediately, as if on command, went to George, as if trying to comfort him. As it turns out, the feathered creature turned out to be exactly the lifeline that the dog needed.

"We have no idea where this duck came from, but we are sure that she genuinely loves George. Since her appearance, the dog has never howled wistfully, as he has done for the past two years. It's strange when a duck appears out of nowhere in your house, which immediately becomes attached to your dog. And it's even more strange that she showed up in the week that was the anniversary of Blackie's death," Ms. Lytton said.

Since then, the dog and the duck are inseparable. Miss Lytton even let her live in the house, and George gave her his bed.

It's only been a week since the duck appeared, but the dog has already felt much better. He was himself again.

"Since the duck appeared in our house, George began to feel much better. He no longer disappears somewhere, does not whine plaintively, he does not meet me at the car, looking sadly straight into my eyes," rejoices Jack Litton.

It is difficult to say what exactly prompted the duck to come to Miss Lytton's house and save the longing dog from sadness. But when you see them together, there is no doubt that this is how it should have been.
