This time was created a car Davis Divan, in the style which lurks aviation traits that attracted even more attention to it. Unfortunately, the world saw only 13 cars.

Davis Divan is a three — wheeled convertible built by the Davis Motorcar company between 1947 and 1949. The owner of the company was a used car salesman Glen Gordon "Gary" Davis.

Creating a prototype in 1947, Davis embarked on an aggressive advertising campaign, which included numerous appearances in magazines and promotional trip across the United States.

Despite the fact that the company "Davis Motorcar" attracted $ 1.2 million through the sale of its 350 dealerships, it was unable to start serial production of their offspring. The money came to an end, began late salaries of the workers at the company's plant in van NUYS.

As a result, the company's assets were sold to repay the accumulated debt, and the Gary Davis eventually was convicted of fraud and Grand theft and sentenced to two years in a labor camp "working farm".
Only 13 cars Davis Divan (including two prototypes) were ever built, 12 of which have survived to date.
