His naked girls, captured in the most incredible angles and surroundings, are recognized both in our country and abroad. But only the most devoted fans of this photographer's work know who is hiding behind a mysterious pseudonym, and what he himself means. (Careful! Nude).

The name Gobotoru is signed by photographer Anton Novozhilov from Tallinn, Estonia. Anton is an electrical engineer by education, but he has been attracted to artistic photography since childhood. He started taking fantasy, picturesque pictures as a teenager, but it took years to develop his unique style.

In 2005, Novozhilov created his own unique technique and named it Gobotoru. This strange word immediately became his creative name. Anton claims that this is an abbreviation of the Russian phrase "Comrade Rupert's headaches", but it is unclear whether he is serious or not.

Anton's pictures are gloomy, melancholic and always monochrome. Things that are impossible from the point of view of the laws of physics sometimes happen on them. His models walk along the walls, fall up like a stone or float along sandy rivers.

In an interview, Gobotoru focuses on the fact that he does not consider himself a professional photographer. His goal is not a career or earnings, but simply a way of expressing himself in art photography.

Anton Novozhilov's photos are similar in style to the works of the Spanish surrealist AnaHell.
