Anton Semenov's name may be unknown to you, but you've probably seen his work as an illustrator. He designed album covers of such famous bands as "Aria", "Slot" and "Nuki", and his paintings are very fond of posting on the Internet as memes about hopelessness.

Semenov's works resemble paintings by the Polish artist Zdzislaw Beksinski, but the Russian horror master has his own, individual style. It is impossible to confuse the works of a Pole and a Russian — Anton's paintings are distinguished by surprisingly accurate detailing and great attention to textures and colors. Therefore, Semenov's characters look much more realistic and therefore frighten more.

Anton says that his work was influenced by such masters of painting as Vrubel, Dali, Picasso, Goya. In search of "his" technique, he tried ink, pencils, pastels and oil, and since 2007 he has been working on a computer. At the same time, Semenov claims that his search is not over and he continues to experiment and try new things until now.
