In his creative heritage, many pictures of various genres have been preserved, but most often it is the erotic works of the master of photography that are remembered. Sieff was an excellent master of light, shadow and composition, so his pictures are incredibly expressive.
(Careful! Nude).

Jeanloup Sieff was born in 1933 in Paris in a family of Polish immigrants. Since childhood, he was fascinated by cinema and already in high school, Zhanlu was sure that he would become a director. But noisy film sets were not the element of Sieff, who loved concentration and solitude. Therefore, he discovered the world of photography, where he soon reached great heights.

The first genre in which Sieff tried himself was fashion photography. In 1956, the first pictures of the young Parisian master appeared in French and Belgian fashion magazines. In 1958, Sieff began working with the Magnum agency and this allowed him to move around the world.

After a while, Zhanlu settled in New York, which in the 60s competed with Paris for the title of the world's fashion capital. The photographer began working with the most famous magazines, including Esquire, Harper's Bazaar, Vogue and Elle. Gradually, in addition to models, Sieff began to shoot celebrities as well. His portraits of Alfred Hitchcock, Yves Saint Laurent and Rudolf Nureyev are well known.

Zhanlu Sieff is recognized as one of the most talented photographers of the 20th century and his works are stored in collections and galleries around the world. Erotic photography for Zhanlu Sieff was no more than one of the many areas of work, but, like everything else, the master performed it flawlessly.
