This creative person is so versatile that you can write a whole book about him. A painter, an actor, a poet, a member of the shocking group NOM — in all his endeavors, this restless Petersburger has achieved success. But Nikolai is best known, nevertheless, for his paintings — many even believe that he is the most popular artist in St. Petersburg and even throughout Russia.

For the style in which the artist Nikolai Kopeikin works, there is a special name invented by the author — multirealism. By definition, the master is a figurative painting, close to the illustrations of children's books-simple, naive and therefore understandable to absolutely everyone.
By the way, cartoon characters, both domestic and foreign, sometimes appear on the canvases of Nicholas. The most epic work with characters known to all children can be called the picture "War of the Worlds", on which the heroes of our cartoons and Western films fight to the death.

But Kopeikin's main hobby is the Russian reality, which he presents boldly, easily and with a great sense of humor. The artist's paintings are populated by well-recognized characters — brothers in leather jackets, grandmothers with frenzied faces, "smooth boys" in Adidas suits and humane policemen.

Nikolai is not afraid of topical political topics, and everyone gets from him, regardless of rank. The artist stigmatizes any vice, making no concessions to anyone.

The paintings of Nikolai Kopeikin are often confused with the works of another remarkable Russian artist — Vasily Lozhkin. These masters really have a very similar style.
