Around the fur: there are more than a hundred foxes living in a Japanese village

In the mountains of Japan, near the town of Siroishi, there is a village where more than a hundred foxes of six different species live. The entrance to the village is open, foxes can even be fed. We have already talked about this village, but we found new photos and couldn't help but show them to you.

The author of these photos is 29-year-old Natasha Puente from Mexico. In January, she arrived in Tokyo for the TESOL certificate, which confirms the qualification of an English teacher. Once in another part of the world, the girl could not miss the chance to go to a fox farm — especially since this is her favorite animal, she even made herself several tattoos with foxes.

To get to the farm, Natasha took the Shinkansen high-speed train to the town of Shiroishi in Miyagi Prefecture in two hours, and then called a taxi.

Admission costs $ 8, at the same time you can buy food for foxes. Zoo workers explain in English how visitors need to behave inside.

You should not feed foxes with your hands — they need to throw food.

In the first part of the village, besides foxes in cages or on leashes, there are also rabbits, ponies and goats. These animals can be petted and photographed with them.

In the main part of the territory, foxes walk freely throughout the reserve, as if they live in the wild.

If you feed them, they may follow you in the hope of more.

In this part of the reserve, foxes are practically not controlled by workers, so you need to remember that these are wild animals and it is better not to touch them.

Feeders, small houses for foxes and ritual gates of torii are placed around the reserve. There is even a temple.
