A five-year-old girl became the only nurse for her grandmother and great-grandmother

The father of five-year-old Anna Wang from China is in prison, and her mother got married for the second time, so the girl stayed to live with two elderly relatives. Such situations are not uncommon, but in this case it is not the old ladies who take care of the child, but the child — for them: Anna's grandmother was bedridden by a chronic illness, and her great-grandmother is 92 years old, and she is already too old to work.

Anna Wang lives in the city of Zunyi in southwest China, in a simple stone house. When Anna was three months old, her father went to prison, and her mother stayed with her in-laws. Then she remarried, leaving the girl with her father's family. Anna became practically the head of the family: she cooks, cleans and takes care of the old ladies.

Grandma Anna has septic (or infectious) arthritis, so her activity is limited: any movement of the affected joints causes pain.

Every morning Anna cooks rice with vegetables for the family. To do this, she has to climb on a stool.

The girl takes her great-grandmother to the toilet or for short walks near the house.

Wang's neighbors were touched by this story, and they allowed Anna to pick vegetables from their plot if she did not have enough food.

The girl does all the housework herself: sweeps the floor, takes out the trash.

Anna does not complain about life — she just smiles and wishes her grandmothers health.
