On September 20, 1934, the future star of world cinema and one of the most beautiful women in the world Sofia Villani Shikolone was born in Rome.

Among the photographers who accompanied the brilliant Sophia Loren all her life, Alfred Eisenstadt occupied a special place. He collaborated with Life magazine for a long time, and the face of the film star appeared on the cover of the publication seven times during the 1950s and 1960s. But in the photographer's personal archive there are a lot of pictures that have not been advertised. Many of them were made during everyday friendly meetings with the actress.
