15 fashion trends of the 70s that left and promised not to return
The style of the 70s can be described as diverse and eclectic. If the 60s were the beginning of a worldwide youth revolt, then in the next decade the masses picked up the ideas of sexual emancipation, refusal of military service, and the struggle for women's rights.
Dressing fashionably, frankly, was difficult. Judging by the prevailing styles: ethno, classical, romantic, folk, hippie, sports, military, safari, disco, unisex, punk — the key word then was "anti-fashion". The main condition is to look abnormal, not like everyone else.

Vinyl Jumpsuits
Yes, it is futuristic, but I bet that the skin in them did not breathe and it was insanely hot. And what if nature calls?

Flared trousers
They were popular from the 60s to the 70s, even resurrected in the 90s, but still remain the most controversial trend.

Shirts with wide collars
A suit is beautiful for any man, but a shirt with a wide collar a la 70s can ruin everything.

Exuberant hair on the chest, which was specially exposed

Swimsuits with cutouts
In the 70s, too much tanning was done, and swimsuits with all sorts of cutouts left extremely original tan lines.

Shiny shirts
We love John Travolta, but as an actor and dancer, not as a figure skating athlete in a shiny suit.

Printed dresses with wide sleeves
If bright prints can still be experienced, then these sleeves suggest a pillowcase.

Jeans and denim jacket
Double no.

Piercing
With piercings, too, everything should be in moderation.

Space-themed dresses

Studded belts
Such belts were worn by punks in the 70s, and later picked up by teenagers of the noughties.

Ultra-wide pants
Relatives of flared trousers may have looked good, but they were not the most practical item of clothing.

Stripes
In the 70s, they loved clothes with stripes. They dressed up in it literally from head to toe.

Tops with ties on the chest
Perhaps their place is on the beach, and not in ordinary life.

Incredibly high heels
The height of the heels in the photo is 20 cm. How many girls do you think have sprained their ankles?
