It seems that fans have broken another facet of rock star worship: fonts.
An art project called Songwriters Fonts offers users and fans of legendary artists to download fonts that the authors of the project modeled based on the real handwriting of their idols, among whom were Kurt Cobain, John Lennon and David Bowie.
The authors studied handwritten notes and notes of musicians in notebooks to identify patterns in the spelling of letters and even punctuation marks and create a digital handwriting that exactly repeats how musicians wrote on paper. The project is non-commercial, so fonts can be downloaded for free.
