"On this day I will die": an exemplary family man beat his wife to a pulp, but her 6-year-old daughter saved her

Jodie from Doncaster almost died at the hands of her own husband — the once loving father of the family, 34-year-old Scott Kagan. Jody's life was saved by her six-year-old daughter, who told school teachers "what a bad daddy" and about the pain he causes mom.

For what Kagan did to his wife, he was sentenced to 18 years in prison, and the judge called this case of domestic violence "the most horrific" in his entire thirty-year judicial practice.

Jody and Scott have been married since 2009, the couple raised three children. The woman says that at first Keigan was a great husband and father, but about three years ago he began to behave too aggressively, and gradually her life "turned into a horror movie." Repeatedly, the man raised his hand to his wife, but the last time he went too far.

On that ill-fated day, Scott Kagan brutally beat his wife with his hands, feet and even a rolling pin. The man dragged the mother of his children by the hair, bit and constantly repeated how much he hated her. Such bullying lasted about two hours.

Jody says that at that moment her husband's face was distorted and more like a Joker's grimace.

However, Judy managed to survive and escape from the clutches of a brutal spouse, and all thanks to her six-year-old daughter. After that terrible night, the girl told the school teachers what her father was doing, and they, in turn, turned to the police.

The police arrived at the house of the Kagan family just at the moment when Scott was beating his wife once again.

The victim was immediately sent to the hospital, and the man was detained. Doctors were shocked by Jody's condition and at first even thought that the woman had been in a car accident.

At the time of hospitalization, Jodi Kagan had six spinal injuries, nine rib fractures, a torn ear and a fractured humerus. In addition, the woman's body was covered with multiple bites, clumps of hair were torn out on her head. In general, according to doctors, 95% of the surface of Jody's body was "decorated" with bruises.

Now Jody is moving away from what happened and thanks her heroine daughter for saving her. Keigan's husband was found guilty of several episodes of beating, as well as sexual and domestic violence. The judge who sentenced him said that this case was "the most horrific" in all 30 years of his work.
